How to fill dropdownlist from table and the selected value inserted to another table in MVC4

i have two tables the first one is a lookup table which has code and value and the second table has a coulmn that is forign to the primary keyy in the first table .i want to make a dropdownlist in registeration form filled by data from first table and the selected value inserted into the second table when i click to submit button in asp mvc4
