Hi,

i'm using visual-studio 2012 while i was debugging my program the icon of debug in the debug menu has been disabled and now the attach icon is active. i can't fix it.

why did it happen?
How should i fix it?

Not clear. Looking at your post, it's hardly possible to determine what have you done wrong.
Well, this is not quite a software development question, this is a problem of being a user of some application, IDE in this case.

Looking at your post, it's hardly possible to determine what have you done wrong. And please understand: nobody disable an "icon", the controls or menu items are disabled and enabled.

After all, create a small toy project and practice debugging until you figure out how the debug menu and other parts of the IDE work and how to use debugging, and feel comfortable. I never heard that anyone ever failed to learn the IDE aspects of debugging just using Visual Studio and its documentation.
