CSS background properties fit stretch in the screen?

Hello guys im high schooler and we have a project creating our own website, anything we want to put is acceptable

here's come my problem I have image 1900x1080 dimesion im using dreamweaver 6
here's my code for my backgroud im using chrome browser

background: url(afjalkg.jpg);
background-size:100%;

}
and the problem is
it does't fit on my browser i want a code that can fit and stretch anytime time and in different browser
i hope you help me with my question thanks!
