Microsoft virtual adapter is showing error while setting it up.

To share my adhoc internet wifi network, I use a command "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=MyWifi key=password" in cmd (running it as with administrator rights). The problem is after i hit 'enter' key, my laptop hangs up. Please help me what to do
