Need to create a social networking site

Im planning to create a social networking site.
i need any basic open source software like Elgg.
My requirement is

1) creating a user
2) users can create community and all user can join that community.
3) if i click that community i need to see all user joined in that group.

please provide me some free open source software for this requirements.

Elgg seems to be the right answer. What is your problem with it? Have you heard of Google?

sorry i have one more requirement.

i need category list view. for example
if
a user pass out year is 2010 with Btec as qualification then.
if he click 2010 >> btec then he should view all users who are joined in that group.
