How to upload files with pure javascript together with html5

Hi. I would like to know how to upload file with pure javascript. I actually know it is impossible but i'm still wondering can we upload file when we use javascript together with HTML5. I mean, could it be possible without using any server side language like PHP or ASP(.net) ?
