How do I check Microphone Boost in Win 7?

Can anyone show how the check for the value of Microphone Boost in Win 7 using C#?

I have been looking at the Core Audio API and a wrapper DLL that was written to cover about half of it (MMDevice and EndpointVolume) and haven't been able to see the setting there. I think I need to figure out how to add DeviceTopology to it and my time is short.

If anyone has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.
