I am relatively new to eclipse and i apologize if my question sounds stupid. So, here is what i want. I have created a GUI using eclipse where a user can enter details such as name, email and some details about them (say about 200 words). Now this is what i want. I have two computers- one of them is where my program is running and users are entering their details, the second one is basically intended to store their details(basically a server where i am storing the data entered by the user). Now, i haven't worked with database before and i dont have much idea about it. I have used access database in vb.net and found it relatively easy. Now, i want some guidance in accomplishing my above goals. I only have 10 days to complete this project. What kind of database can i use with eclipse? Any suggestions or articles relating to my idea is highly appreciated. Thanks

You have a new huge question every day. It is starting to look very much like spam.

For a start you are not doing any of this with eclipse. Eclipse is a development environment, not a programming language, and if you do not understand the difference then you are going to struggle. If you want to access a database on one system from an application on another then you need to use SQL server or some similar server based system.

@pwasser:- I dont really think that my questions bother you in any way. Does it? They can be huge or small, whatever it is.Advise for ya- If you cant help someone then its better to mind your own business. Take it or leave it :).

No so. You may be surprised to learn this is a community and not all about you. The forum has rules which you should read. This question does not comply. Good questions assist the forum to become a place that even experienced programmers can benefit from. Part of creating a good question is making a concerted effort yourself to answer the question before posting. This is the real way to learn. Poor questions of which this is a prime example simply drop the quality overall. Everyone plays their part.

@pwasser:- Allow you fam!!Simply put it this way. If i have a question, i will ask. No matter if my question is good/bad, i will ask anyway. I wont be suppressed by the so-called rules and stop being curious. Just for the record even the poor questions teaches us something. Seems to me that you are a know it all. Good for you. Thanks for your lecture. I will keep that in mind. End of discussion ~~~~~peace ~~~~
