Taking my first steps in Andriod country I get stopped by an android debug bridge trying to contact the device in a way that chokes the system which makes it practically impossible to move forward. Any pointers? I guess it has to do with the deviceClientMonitorLoop issue.

TIA

What exactly are you trying to do? When do you see the error? Can you supply more details please.

Sure, got myself a samsung galaxy s5, installed android studio, enabled usb debugging and wanted to see the device so asked the android debug bridge to show me. It shows 'off line' and at that stage adb locks other things that are using the nic as if it polls in a tight loop or similar.

Tried different usb ports, revoking, deleting the adb keys, reconnecting the device, the google usb driver etc to no avail.

Looking for a way to auto forward sms to email ...

It should of course work straight out of the box but we have in all those years not yet reached the level of a car.
