Can we use bootstrap for silverlight - XAML ?

I mean to ask that is bootstrap capable of supporting the XAML , Silverlight controls just as the html or asp controls ? If yes, how ?

No.

Bootstrap is a CSS and javascript framework. It can only be used to style HTML elements. Silverlight / XAML do not use HTML elements.

ok got it. Thank you. So what does silverlight controls use for their styling ?

And is there any probability of bootstrap entering to silverlight controls in future ?

Silverlight uses XAML styles and templates:

The chances of Bootstrap being extended from HTML/CSS to XAML - particularly when Silverlight is no long being maintained - are effectively zero. There is no overlap between HTML/CSS and XAML.

That has certainly cleared my doubt ! As you said Silverlight is no long maintained then what's the next big thing coming up in .NET ?

Microsoft are pushing WinRT, which has some similarities to Silverlight, but can only be used to develop store-based apps for Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8.

For browser-based applications, most people are trying to move away from plugins like Silverlight and Flash, as they don't work on most mobile devices. Modern browsers are adding features to HTML and javascript which make it easier to develop rich applications without the plugins.
