how to retrieve page data using graph api - android?

Im trying to build an android app to get a facebook page data using graph api. the main issue that i need to know that a new post has posted in the page to notify user using a service.. is that possible and what is the best practice??

Best practice would be to read the documentation for the Facebook API or graph api.
