hi gigs
i planning to create a web app & i decided to use http://en.googlemaps.subgurim.net[^]
for displaying maps and it's works as my wish.
but in case of loosing internet connectivity or local network(No internet available)i must search another solution. in most cases (static map,kml file, shape file, java script) the base map must be read from HTTP & unfortunately it's not helping i understand there is way to make map from image tiles but neither i found no online documentation & my not support pins & direction.
at last pleas help me to understand how to show a full map with absolute no internet participation?
tnx

If the internet is down at your location, then no else outside your location will be able to access the web page anyways.

Usually when the connection is down, people work on fixing that problem first, and are not worried about maps.

If you want to display a map when you do not have internet connection, and you want it to support pins and current location, then you need to have all of the data stored locally.

There are companies that will supply this data - you would have to purchase that - and they usually come with an API to allow it to be displayed.

It is not cheap!
