Images are not uploading in cakephp project local system

I have a cakephp project and I am using Eclipse IDE for cakephp project in ubuntu.
I have referred this link (http://runnable.com/UhUJR9J-0SUbAAYd/how-to-upload-an-image-using-cakephp-for-sessions[^]) for doing this task. Images are uploading on Heroku Server. But Images are not uploading at my local system (Eclipse IDE). when I check ../webroot/img folder, no images found.

When I make any changes to project from local system and commit and push to server, then images are lost on server too. After commit and push to server, images are not displaying at front end of site.

I need help why images are not uploading to my local system? If images are uploading on ../webroot/img folder on local system too, then after commit and push, images will not lost.
Help me to write images on my local system folder.
