how to set date in date picker calendar extender?

i have two textboxes one for number of days and second one is for date picker when i enter numbers in 1st textbox then the datepicker shows the date of future against the given number from current date but i have a problem in it that is the datepicker calendar does not select future date while it is in text box kindly help me to find out its solution.
