How Do I Determine How Long My system and my Program are Running?

I'm having trouble to determine how long may system and my program are running?. i mean up-time since my system and program started. i am using vc++ , MS Visual Studio 2008.

What trouble? Do you use the system clock? Do you check the last boot time? Please give more detail of what your code does and what errors you receive.
