How I stop user from using queries in my Web forms app

Hey guys, I'm developping a web forms application and I've been warned by a friend that supposedly people can "insert queries through the textbox" and do something bad or see hidden information or something... is this true? if so how can I protect my application?

look up the term "SQL injection". there are some pretty good articles here on CP.
