Using the dot net technologies we cannot Develop an application that can run on android platform.is it possible or not

Xamarin provides the solution, but their pricing and licensing is just disturbing.
Microsoft promises to provide it all free of charge with much better support in future Visual Studio 2015, but we know little detail. For now, Xamarin is supported by Visual Studio 2013.

I can tell you one thing: I'm going to hold on and wait. And let me tell you, I was very lucky for years to skip whole big technologies which have been disappeared soon by themselves. I cannot guarantee anything whatsoever, of course, this is nothing but my intuition.

An oter alternative to Xaramin is http://www.dot42.com/[^], worth trying. You can use it for free under certain circumstances, with Visual Studio support too. And commercial licensing costs also much less.
Still, I am also courious about VS2015 features...
