How do I call WCF Service Asynchronously from MVC application

Hi,

In my application I came across with a scenario for sending SMS through a third party gateway. If I try to send the SMS syncronously, it is taking too much time.

My goal is to send the SMS in a different thread/through Web service, so the user don't have to wait for the SMS sending operation to be completed. What are the best way to accomplish this?
