Html JS. Save cards opened from a "booster pack"

I want to make a top trumps style game where you open boosters and there added to your inventory. Where would I get started doing this? I have already made a game where you open card packs but it kinda sucked check it out here Sadly this has no inventory. That's what I wish to do in my next project.

Are there any JS HTML? tutorials or anything I can do that might help me or some jquery plugins?
