Problem with Crystal Reports

Hi I use Crystal Reports for generating reports in my application.
I export my report in a rpt file and open it through my application, but when Crystal Reports tries to open the file, I receive this error in a message box :

This action cannot be completed because other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem.

When I click 'Switch To' button on the message box, start menu raises up and nothing happens and the message box exists still. please help me..

Sounds like something I have with the designer of Crystal reports.

That happens when there is no internet connection, the designer (and maybe your viewer) is trying to check for updates but without internet connection just stays in a endless loop.

In answer to your comment:

First you should verify that this is indeed the cause of your problem.
Then search for a setting where you can disable the automatically update on startup.
I'm pretty sure it exists but I'v always been to lazy to check it since I didn't have the problem with the viewer only the designer.
