how to speed up my search result

Hi,

i have more than 20 thousand rows in sql D/b. all rows are in single table only and high end server from my client. still my search results are very slow.

1 . how to speed up my search result.
2 . what are other way to show search results become very fast.

Does your table has the required indexes? You can see the execution plan of the query to figure out what is taking time. If you are looking for an answer, you can post the time it is taking and query if possible.
