That's right! As I write this, 11 of you checked "Other", then proceeded to actually type in, "SVN". Wow! Please, learn the meaning of the abbreviations and acronyms that you use in your daily programming life. If for no other reason then to avoid looking like an idiot. But, that's mean to say, so just learn what those things mean for your own advancement as a programmer.

Offically we use Subversion (trying to switch over to TFS), but I want my own archive as well so I also use XCOPY:
xcopy /D /Y /s C:\projects\*.* D:\%date%\projects\ /exclude:C:\bin\Exclude.rsp
When I finish my own version control system, I may start using that instead.

Ha! It is the rage. I used SVN for years. However, I decided to switch to Mercurial once I became a remote team worker. I got everyone on-board and we switched in no time. However, I did get questions about Git. I evaluated it with Mercurial, and found it to be way too inconsistent (it's commands mainly) and a real PITA on Windows.
I just don't git it's hype!

We have a lot of test (binary) data that we want versioned. Seriously, gigabytes of test data.

I've been searching for such a system myself over the past 2 years. I'll tell you, the only thing I've found that won't cost you an exorbitant amount of money is a little open-source project I've been eyeing. I have yet to take the plunge or even evaluate it for my team's needs, but I have been checking in on its progress from time-to-time.

YEah I have been using Perforce for years. Think it is by far one of the best SCM system out there. Easy to maintain/upgrade and use. I even had RPG programmers using it. They got used to it in a couple of days. And if you have dealt with an RPG programmer than you know they are stuck in their ways and don't take new ways of doing things very well. For them to pick it up in 2 to 3 days means it is really easy to use and understand.

Yes, I do too. For some reason, I don't like it, compared to SVN, but I'll be damned if I have any idea why. I just don't, and can't find a reason for it

I also used it in the last company I worked at. I really feel it is missing from the list. I have nothing to complain about it; it seemed like a good source control at the time.

Yes, both at my current employer and previous. Perforce is a great product; used it for years. I wouldn't work at a company using VSS. Perforce was a positive factor when choosing my current employer.
