The Ribbon has a property OrbStyle. Just set it to "Office_2010". Or am I missing something?

OK. Now I did solve it. The previous solution was quite fine, but caused the tooltip to never show again after the item is clicked.

Check out the DrawOrb*** methods for the corresponding colors. For all gradient things a "North" and "South" color is defined.

The highlighting color of the active tab is hard coded, search for "Gold". The colors relevant for the hovered RibbonButton can be looked up in the: RibbonProfessionalRenderer.DrawButt
