You better create a own window with all the needed stuff and set its position where your status bar is located.

step into the code and you will see, that the bitmap is attached to the toolbar, so you cant change it. So you need another toolbar.I have done that in the old XP-times and it worked fine.
Answer 13 May 2013   license: CPOL
use need to use DIFFERENT toolbars with the actual bitmap. Whether you create a new one and delete the old, or create an array is your choice.

Do the networking stuff in a own thread. Use PostThreadMessage to communicate with your main thread.
Answer 7 May 2013   license: CPOL
i guess your threads are blocking the network api.why arent you making some outout or use your debugger...
Answer 6 May 2013   license: CPOL

Answer 5 May 2013   license: CPOL

Create a "master" thread with a sleep timer or a time out for 10 seconds. This thread should only start another "worker" thread which will do the work.

you only need to call the c-func in a member function. But you better do some error checking around it.If you link the dll with "delayload" you will get some startup benefit.

Answer 22 Apr 2013   license: CPOL

Looks like the installer overwrote the "1" with "6161"9.0.30729.19.0.30729.6161My solution is to use static linking to avoid such mess.

it resolves the class to a member stub and a vt-table with its functions. All functions getting an new first parameter "this object". The use in C++ of the this-Pointer is annoying. YOU DONT NEE
