Every HTML image element has properties called naturalHeight and naturalWidth (at least DOM-L3). Those properties expose the height / width of the image (if available) in CSS

That is problem dependent. For our problems Intel MIC seems like a good choice. Overall one has to say that the biggest problem with CUDA (besides being restricted to Nvidia cards) is the non-portabil
