How to gain better control over the testing process reducing the amount of test methods in a unit test.

at first thanks for the comment. I don't try to convince anybody - this way is better. For me it's better to group all test cases in one place. Otherwise this is a good example for using "yield return

AFAIK an Attribute accepts only constant values. Using the above way you can provide your test case with mocks and other runtime objects.

How to effectively build modular .NET applications of any size using messages, commands and components of MCM-Framework.Net?
Forum Message 30 Dec 2012
yes, the TestCase.Description property should be a part of the Assert message. However I didn't want to complicate the code with additional statements. The most important thing is the yield return pat

no, I have not tried it yet. SharpSerializer uses standard reflection with PropertyInfo. Quitting dynamic methods has one big advantage - there is no MissingMethodException ;-)

Is it better to serialize types without default constructor with Custom Serializer or a Substitute Pattern? Example of serialization of FontFamily into isolated storage in WP7.

Maybe you can catch this exception by subscribing the event AppDomain.CurrentDomain.AssemblyResolve and there you load the missing assembly manually, i.e. Assembly.Load(...). If it does not work, ther

thanks! the performance depends on the environment and data being serialized. there is another article comparing SharpSerializer 2.6 with BinaryFormatter:

hi, SharpSerializer 2.8 and above can serialize Guid. the latest version and sources you find on sharpserializer.codeplex.com

You need to serialize your class including AssemblyVersion, Culture and PublicKeyToken. As Default they will not be included in the type name. (it looks clean in xml, but the drawback is as y

Reason for my vote of 1 under certain circumstances it produces wrong results (see my comment).
Forum Message 13 Oct 2010
sorry, It's not the ultimate solution. Let's assume there is an assembly Versioning...: "Versioning.MyVersionInfo, Versioning, Version=......, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=......"

What about more generally? i.e. "typing dark letters on a light background"? If I change the title then your alternate is off topic ;-)

I give up. there is type caching in my framework but further caching is not possible unless I refactor the whole system. In your Serializer there are only two layers - reading and object creating. in

hi Mike, however sharpSerializer in my results is better than in yours, but your SilverlightSerializer kicks the ass! I have compared the outputs, because i thought, your class is a fake which makes

Reason for my vote of 1 it doesn't work for "System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[[System.Int32, mscorlib],[System.String, mscorlib]], mscorlib"
Forum Message 7 Oct 2010
Sorry, it's wrong. Let's assume, there is a type: type="System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[[System.Int32, mscorlib],[System.String, mscorlib]], mscorlib" The algorithm with string.IndexOf(...)

hi Paulo, 1) I have never thought of serializing of ReaderWriterLock - it can't work anyway. Sometimes i get feedback, that sharpSerializer can't serialize whole Windows Forms or other Controls.
Forum Message 7 Oct 2010
hi Chris, only between us "lazy boys";-) - yes, it uses reflection and the types are cached during building of Property classes. Of course the framework could be faster if not the reflection. the p
