If a domain is registered it has pointers or glue records on the root nameservers. Example, if you want tot know if there is any authority about ABCD.XYZ check XYZ rootnameservers for the ABCD domain

Root name servers only points to "Top Level Domains" (TLD). So, you can ask k.root-server.net where the TLD .nl (Netherlands) lives... Because root nameservers are part of the chicken-egg problem,

At this moment (Microsoft time) it is not possible to remove anonymous delegates. And I think you should not try it :-) It is however easy to 'replace' the control by another (not movable) control
