When I saw what code you used, I immediately thought you were not using the LIKE the correct way. When you use a LIKE, you would usually include a wildcard character. For example, when searching for things that start with the letter M, you'd write something along these lines: {Name} LIKE "M%"....

If you are going to use linq to find the drugs that start with a certain set of characters, then you do not NEED to have a string array hold the names in the first place. Just pull them right from the datatable. If you need help with that, I suggest reading LINQ Introduction Part 1 Of 3[^]....

I've personally never done this before, but just from reading the error message it sounds like you need to set a datasource. If you were going to manually mail merge a document in Word, you'd have to provide a datasource for it. For example, if your word document was a letter and you wanted to...

It's hard to give good advice when you don't post the code you are currently using to fill the text of the label. If your database stores first, middle, and last names seperately then when you put the text in the label, include a newline after the middle name. Then a tab and/or the number of...

If you're going to do it in the Crystal Report Formula Workshop, you'd probably be best off using the RIGHT function. The parms are the string and the length of characters you want to take. There is also a LEFT and a MID function that can be used for substringing. Here are some links that...

I suggest adding a hidden column to the grid that contains the string version of any int columns that you have. Then when the user filters by the int column, you would filter by the hidden column instead of the int column, using the LIKE. I don't know how else you would do a LIKE on a number.
