I suppose it's an important ritual. Code Project recently celebrated their 10,000,000th user, and Apple is celebrating their upcoming milestone of 50,000,000

Nothing wrong with that, though Code Project does have the ability to automatically import your blog entries to the site (I've not used it myself, but that's how it's supposed to work I think).

Just came across https://www.draw.io/. You can make diagrams like you would in Visio, but it's free and you don't need to install anything (runs in your browser).

If I understand it correctly, they released the binaries with the fixes as a beta, but the source code (this is an open source project) doesn't have that code checked in. I suppose their reasoning

I suppose any that can be disassembled easily. Though it's not true that all OSS app developers will post blog entries featuring security theater claiming they are protecting when they are not.
