You can't have two items with the same id in html. If you want to match both div items, then you would need something like this.$('[id*="pcnt"]').each(function(){ // Do your stuff...});

That all depends on what you need to accomplish. For simple CRUD operations, I would suggest letting EF take care of that for you.If you have to do a bunch of processing on the database based on CRUD operations, then I would use Stored procedures to keep all that functionality on the database.
