      <title>Useage about OPCODE collision detection</title>
      <description>I want to know whether opcode can give me the messages besides triangle. As mesh defined in the opcode is consist of triangles, but most of my model is constructed using polygons, so before my collision qurey, I have to transform the polygons to triangles, but i want to know wether i could know which polygon the triangles detected are belong to. if the anwser is yes, how can i get the message?&lt;br /&gt;

I had got the resource from the OPCODE net address, and i also have read the mannual about the OPCODE, but as I wanted to learn some details about the OPCODE, I found it was difficult. And i had got the two projects "opcode" and "CDTestFramework" from that address. because i had not found the information about how to get which polygon the detected triangle is belong to in the user mannual. i hoped to find my anwser in the two projects above, but I find it was difficult to read the code in the two projects. if you had some experience about using OPCODE, i really wished you could give some suggestion about how to read the two projects. And as the  most important one of my requests is to get the polygons, so if you know, can you tell me is there any manner i can get the polygons. If the answer is NO, i think I have to think about take us of other detection manners.</description>

      <title>OpenGL 3.0 Square is being drawn behind another Square</title>

      <title>Contouring problem using pixel shader</title>
      <description>Background&lt;br /&gt;
I have an application that displays (large 2500X3000) 12-bit grayscale images within an image control. I am using the Gray16 pixel format and I am scaling the data to 16 bits by simple bit-shifting. Images have low contrast, so I implemented functionality to adjust brightness and contrast. The functionality was based on setting the image's Effect to a pixel shader that accepts brightness and contrast parameters. Obviously, this implementation is very efficient and avoids moving large amount of data around in memory.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
Problem&lt;br /&gt;
When adjusting the contrast to a high setting, the displayed image exhibits unacceptable contouring, as though the bit-depth of the image has been reduced to 5 or 6. As a baseline test, I implemented the same functionality without a pixel shader - I applied the contrast and brightness settings to the image, reduced the bit-depth to 8 bits and displayed the image with the Gray8 pixel format (one that I have a great deal of familiarity with). The latter implementation showed little to no contouring.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
Question&lt;br /&gt;
Does anyone know why applying a pixel shader would reduce the apparent bit-depth of an image? Does the pixel shader HLSL code work on reduced bit-depth data, e.g. eight or less, that is a function of the hardware/drivers or the OS? &lt;br /&gt;
All data in the pixel shader are floats that are scaled from 0 to 1, so you haven't any idea of the quantization level (at least to my knowledge)&lt;br /&gt;

      <title>Clamp Texture Address Mode</title>
      <description>Microsoft DirectX 9.0 / C++ Question about Setting Sampler State / Clamp Texture Address Mode. &lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
How can I get a SetSamplerState to effect a specific custom vertex and not the whole entire scene?&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
For instance, I created a scene with 3D objects and stuff completely surrounded by a Skybox cube.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
I'm trying to get the following code to effect my skybox cube face textures only, and not the rest of the scene.  &lt;img src="/script/Forums/Images/smiley_confused.gif" align="top" alt="Confused | :confused:" /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
The code works great as far as getting rid of those noticeable seams in the skybox, but it also messes up the rest of the stuff.  &lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
