Tomorrow millions of Americans will worship at the Church of the Gridiron. Super Mass, if you will.
Count me in.
Second to Thanksgiving, it is the top food day of the year in the US.
Beyonce will sing. No, really.
Two Nevada casinos invited me to watch the game at their house. I had to pass.
Go San Francisco!
Oh, dear. I am afraid I gave the ending away. Spoiler alert!!!
Excuse my stream of consciousness

If you like American 'Football' then you should watch Rugby.
It is a similar game except that it is not interrupted by committee meetings and it is not played by homosexuals in padding, but by guys with broken noses, cauliflower ears and very few teeth.(Tape is sometimes worn to stop the opposition from ripping an ear off).

Yeh, but which form of Rugby? League or Union.
I can't be doing with that put the ball on the ground and pass it back to your own team crap, just get into a scrum and get on with it.

I've played both rugby and American football, as well as many other sports. American football is by fr the toughet mentally and physically.
They had a problem at uni with American footballers playing rugby, they kept injuring the rugby players. Most of the rugby players who tried American football quickly went back to rugby.
American football is the only team sport I can think of where everyone on the pitch is involved in every play, you don't get the chance to jog around on the wing or behind play for a few minutes getting your breath back.
The forward pass was allowed in 1906 after presidential influence because 18 players had been killed and 159 seriously injured playing the game the previous year.
I've played rugby most of my life, and love playing it, but I have always found watching both codes of the game, especially league, very dull indeed.

Then the Rugby players were doing it wrong. Make the Gridiron man run continuously (no committee meetings) and he will quickly die with no stamina.

If you don't train for the completely different form of the game and don't learn the ruels AND the subtleties of the game you will be smashed. Not something you can just pick up and play.

Anything to do with players being hit from the blind by multipe players? How many of them had the ball?

The thing about the committee meetings is that you have a few seconds to get there, get the code for the play, work out what you need to do, get back to the line and then go again.
All whilst wearing the kit which weighs plenty.
You do the wrong thing, even slightly, the play falls apart.
A few professional rugby players have tried moves to American football teams over the years. They've all given up because they couldn't cope with the mental side of the game.

And by the mental side of the game, you are referring to the nuances of the game, the set plays and the need to know how each position plays and what they exactly need to do.
That is what I covered when I mentioned the futility of trying to switch to something radically different to what you have played your whole life. Unless that is you put in a huge effort in learning the game and training (under expert tutorlage) like you never have before.
Even switching between Leaugue and Union is not straight forward as many at the professional level have learnt. Besides the wing and the occasional centre, they don't mix and match. The forwards play completely differently as do the halves.
Your Gridiron mates would switch to League easier (not easily) as the game stops and resets at the play the ball. Union is a different matter as it doesn't stop (except for penalties) and in the Northern Hemisphere the Gridiron blokes lying in the ruck would be raked to death by the oppositions studs.

Rugby is too complex for yanks. It's rumoured that their cars have automatic gearboxes because they can't chew gum and change gear at the same time.
