i need author name to be in linkedTitle field in sharepoint 2010 foundation

Hey
im new to sharepoint. Im creating a form that manages Leave permissions for employees.
I added a title field with edit menu but i want this field to have author display name ([created By] value)

Note: i used the title field because i need the edit menu

is there anyway to do this

Solution 2

You can write an event receiver to update the title field with the [Created By] value and update the item. Or you may also make use of SharePoint Designer workflow logic to do the same.
