Introduction

the entertainment app developed using XNA for windows phone has had over 10,000 downloads. It has all the pads of the drum player with two views.

Screen shots of the app available here at the Windows Phone Store http://www.windowsphone.com/en-in/store/app/drumkit/9eec0605-f101-4c0f-b52d-75352fe50d31

Background

the best part and the most challenging here is porting the XNA into Windows 8.

Points of Interest

Going through the code you'll realize how easy but tricky it is to port XNA to Win 8.

The app which supports 5 point touch can be coded to support 10 point touch in Windows 8 and all the pads being hit at once sound real good
the record button at the top cemter records your beats and lets you play after you stop hitting the drums. Somehow theres no option to save that beats in Windows phone app but i plan to introduce that in win 8.

History

Right now I'm working on how to make the app look cool even in the snap iew mode and need some graphics help.
