If you love making music, creating beats or maybe you are a hobbies DJ, and you want to mix music and create sounds it is not often easy using the mouse and keyboard. So with your new Ultrabook you have the ability of a multitouch display with that you can arrange you beats and mixes easily.
My inspiration was a tiny bit this one
Korg KAOSSILATOR PRO & KP3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxEdOSusYzs
But in my idea it is not so complex. It is more like an beat piano, where you can Loop some voices or music snippes and also beats.
To realize that I am using Flash Action Script 3.0 with the SiON Sound Engine from here https://sites.google.com/site/sioncenter/
Why you should use it on an Ultrabook?
Without an expensive DJ-Hardware like USB-turntables or mixingcontrollers or midi-piano it is not so easy using the mouse and the keyboard playing live beats. Keyboard and mouse are more for composing, drag and drop loops are possible, but not two loopsamples for example in different directions. And with keyboard-keys you are not able to have dynamic impact with volume variation like on an e-piano or music keyboard maybe. So here came multitouch on the display from the ultrabook. Maybe also using the Accelerometer Sensor if necessary.
Maybe using some ideas from GarageBand, but having a real keyboard maybe is for programming music also interesting. With SiON it is possible to create easily realistic synthetic voices of instruments. Loops, beats and melodies and also complete songs. But it is also possible to use the SiON engine with sliders, wheels or buttons to create some loops etc. And so I will create more easy to use virtual gadgets for more fun with an Ultrabook. Composing music and mixing it in real-time live.
I love music
Thinking about a Virtual Theremin with two sliders.
