What to call these 'things' however has been tricky because they are an abstract concept with no obvious connection to the physical world until you get down to a quantum level.
In a sense they are 'links', except that they don't _link_ to the original, they _are_ the original. Likewise for 'shortcuts'. And 'link' is already taken for files and URIs.
And they're not strictly 'references' either, except in the programming sense, which perhaps comes closest.
And to me, 'clone' implies an exact copy rather than the original itself.
So we're stuck with 'references' for now...

Reference works.
For what it is worth, I think of these as 'referred tasks', or 'additional task instance'.
The instance isn't exactly the same as the original visually, as it has a shortcut icon on it...
One other thing. Searching on title doesn't bring up the referred tasks. Is this intended?

Hello,
the filter is set to "Tasks Due by Today" the task is set to occur every one week on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fr. After completion a new task will be created.
As from 6.6.3 the new task is not filtered and is shown additionally within the task tree/list.
With 6.6.2 the task for today disappears after completion / is filtered correctly.
Can anybody confirm this behaviour?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Dominik

Hi Dominic
Can you confirm if this is still an issue in 6.6.7?

Hi .dan.g.
yes, this issue still persists in 6.6.7
If i complete the recurring task due today it will be striked-through and the newly created Task for the following day will be shown additionally.
Best regards,
Dominik

Dan,
I think adding wordwap to custom text columns would open up a lot of new uses for TDL.
I use to use Microsoft Access to develop custom databases, but it is so much easier to create a simple database with TDL.
However, when I add custom text columns to a simple database that I want create with TDL, the text columns can get too wide without wordwrap. This limits considerably what I can do with custom text field types of ToDoLists.
Have you given any thought to adding wordwrap to custom text columns? Would that be difficult to implement? Would you consider this feature for a future release?
Thanks,
Dave Thompson
