At the University of Southern California I resisted the call of computing and studied Mathematics and Economics instead, but still dabbled with C and took courses in that new fangled C++ technology. Several years later, I succumbed to my primal urges and began programming professionally in C++. I formalized my Computer Science interest with a Masters from the University of Colorado at Denver while I was working.

Due to commercial demand, I have written professionally in C, C++, C#, Ada, Java, JavaScript and Mumps. However, C++ is still my favourite. I have also indulged my control freak side and stepped into management where I have managed software development and professional services teams.
