Hello friends.

This is my first post on CodeProject.

Today, I will write about MD5 in ASP.NET.

You create a new web site, using Visual Studio 2008, and at default.aspx, drag two controls, first Label and second TextBox.

In the first control(Label), change your property ID to lblResult and Text for null. In the second control(TextBox), change your property ID to txtValue and Text for null.

Add a NameSpace "System.Web.Security" in the class using.

Add one button control, chage ID to btnOK and Text to OK.

In the click event of button, add the following code:

FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile("value of string", "MD5");

Good luck.
