Where Item Properties Dialog

You can access this dialog by choosing "New" or "Edit" from
the "Where" Tab of the Report
Properties Dialog.

Use this dialog to create or edit Where Criteria clauses.

First, select Auto or Text on the left for the whole clause.
Auto creates the clause automatically from your selections. Text
is just a free text entry that you write.

If you select Auto, then you use the three groups of controls in the
centre - Left, Function and Right. The Left and
Right groups are similar and correspond to the left- and right-hand sides
of the clause. They are joined by the Function you select.

In both the Left and Right groups of controls, you have three
choices - a Table.Field, Data from the database, or Text.
A Table.Field entry just adds the name of a Table.Field to the clause. A
Data entry adds a constant value from the database. A Text entry
is any free text that you write.

NOTE: The complete clause as it stands always appears in the text box
at the bottom of the dialog box - use this to help you build Where Criteria
Clauses.

NOTE: Dates must be in American format if specified as numbers - i.e.
month/day/year - e.g. 12/31/1999. It is clearer to use the form 31-Dec-1999.
This is done automatically if you are using Select Data.
I discovered C# and .NET 1.0 Beta 1 in late 2000 and loved them immediately.
I have been writing software professionally in C# ever since

In real life, I have spent 3 years travelling abroad,
I have held a UK Private Pilots Licence for 20 years,
and I am a PADI Divemaster.

I now live near idyllic Bournemouth in England.

I can work 'virtually' anywhere!
