XAMLFinance – A Cross-platform WPF, Silverlight & WP7 Application

This article describes the development of XAML Finance, a cross-platform application which works on the desktop, using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), on the web, using Silverlight and on Windows Phone 7 (WP7).

Its systems provide trading, allowing investors and institutions access to equity, bond and derivatives markets. It acts as a central counterparty guaranteeing parties to a trade will be paid and securities will be delivered, as well as a Central Securities Depository and securities settlement system, creating netted settlement instructions, making the actual payments and delivering securities. It is also a custodian of securities. On October 1, 2007, the Company merged with Borsa Italiana S.p.A. In September 2007, Qatar Investment Authority's subsidiary, Qatar Holding LLC, acquired a 20% stake in the Company."></share></shares>
