XGroupBox is an MFC control that displays a flicker-free groupbox with text and/or icon. You can use this to display either a standard groupbox or a header-only groupbox.
// XGroupBoxTest.h : main header file for the XGROUPBOXTEST application
//

#ifndef XGROUPBOXTEST_H
#define XGROUPBOXTEST_H

#ifndef __AFXWIN_H__
	#error include 'stdafx.h' before including this file for PCH
#endif

#include "resource.h"		// main symbols

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// CXGroupBoxTestApp:
// See XGroupBoxTest.cpp for the implementation of this class
//

class CXGroupBoxTestApp : public CWinApp
{
public:
	CXGroupBoxTestApp();

// Overrides
	// ClassWizard generated virtual function overrides
	//{{AFX_VIRTUAL(CXGroupBoxTestApp)
public:
	virtual BOOL InitInstance();
	virtual int ExitInstance();
	//}}AFX_VIRTUAL

// Implementation
	ULONG_PTR m_gdiplusToken;

	//{{AFX_MSG(CXGroupBoxTestApp)
	//}}AFX_MSG
	DECLARE_MESSAGE_MAP()
};

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

//{{AFX_INSERT_LOCATION}}
// Microsoft Visual C++ will insert additional declarations immediately before the previous line.

#endif //XGROUPBOXTEST_H
