I run the technology group for a financial services firm in Boston, creating software largely for internal use which automates and assists in most all aspects of the firms operation. I tend to gravitate towards middle tier and back end development, preferring the pure abstractions of databases, algorithms and engines. I started out writing QuickBasic when I was about 10, then got in to VB, then VB.Net when it came out; for the past couple of years I've been rather squarely in the squiggly bracketed domain of C#.
