Earl Allen - Professional Profile

Earl graduated from the University of Dayton in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He graduated with a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science.
 
Earl has now been programming commercially for thirty-eight years. The first eighteen included IBM mainframes at Sears and Army Univac computers while in the Army reserves. Since 1978, he has concentrated on microcomputers, first with the Apple IIs and then with the IBM PCs.
 
Since 1984, Earl has focused on programming in C and Visual C++.
 
Earl's C applications for MS DOS were primarily built around mark sense (bubble) scanning into large databases with links to IBM mainframs through Irma 3278 emulation.
 
For entertainment, Earl shoots pool (eight ball and nine ball) and builds/upgrades micro-computer hardware.
 
He lives in central Florida just southeast of Orlando on East Lake Toho. He tours the Florida attractions whenever opportunity allows.
