I wasn't an employee, but I wrote for MS Press, was a Microsoft vendor and worked on campus - sharing an office with Jeffrey Richter. Does any of that count?
Tom Archer, Inside C# Mainstream is just a word for the way things always have been -- just a middle-of-the-road, tow-the-line thing; a front for the Man serving up the same warmed-over slop he did yesterday and expecting you to say, "Thank you sir, may I have another?"
I am not from Microsoft. I was however very impressed with your effort in the article and I am also interested in your work. Would certainly be interested in hearing from you and sharing some of my ideas. Feel free to email me firstname.lastname@example.org
Well, I consulted for the Windows group back in 89/90 - several of the dot-matrix printer drivers in Win 3.0 were mine, I'm afraid to admit!
That was back when the "DDK" for printers consisted of the HPLJ and Epson source code, and a few readme-type files explaining how to coax GDI into rendering the page in bands for dot-matrix type printers!
