This must be some new meaning of the phrase "May not be work-safe" that I was previously unaware of. I can't think of too many industries where that would be work safe! (And it's not the kind of thing I want to see with my morning coffee, thank you!)

GeneralAll that glitters is gold... NOT!!memberAlexCode8 Jul '12 - 22:46
In this industry there's always a lot of vaporware, smoke-curtains, abra-cadabra, whatever... and these kind of things are one of those.

I actually already tried Sass and LESS. They deliver as promised but I don't know why I never used it in production. When time comes to decide I keep with the basic CSS everyone knows.
So maybe I know why...
I'm not a designer, I order my webdesigns to someone who actually know what he/she's doing so all CSS comes shiny and pretty. Why would I want it to be some sort of object oriended CSS language? OMG | :OMG:

The web is simple... don't ruin it! Cool |

I used LESS when I redesigned the UI for CodeStash. It worked very well for me because it helped me to visualise what the element groupings really are, and encouraged me to write more focused selectors.

That is why I like to learn new things.
Opens your mind to new and hopefully better ways to do things, even if at the end you don't actually use tool itself (I'm not sure if I made myself clear here WTF | :WTF: ).

The problem I see everywhere is that if you're not using the latest shiny toy you're a troll! Smile | :) and this usually leads to very bad architecture decisions.

Agree 100%. In an enterprise environment you have to write code that is sustainable and maintainable. When one of these 'fad' languages goes out of vogue, you/someone else, could find themselves scrambling on a Friday afternoon trying to replace/fix something.
