From a user perspective, I assume a search made using text value brings the result matching the search criteria, rather than bringing only the exact match. Just like the Google search. I haven’t used wildcards.

It is always good to first google the error message and try a few solutions on your own and then post a question here.

If you are referring to writing a stored Procedure, then refer to the link http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/126898/Sql-Server-How-to-write-a-Stored-procedure-in-Sql or if you are referring to handle the stored proc in .net, then learn ADO.NET using the following link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/kb9s9ks0.aspx

You can dock the gridview in its parent container. ( if it is the form itself) and then try with the Form Properties AutoSize and AutoSizeMode.

Since you have the label inside the repeater control, depending on your requirement, during page post back find control and clear it or change the repeater binding to Nothing.

You can try the following steps.
1. Create a new application pool for your website.
2. Go to advanced settings of the app pool -> enable 32-Bit applications to true.
3. Point your website to the new app pool.
4. Restart your IIS.
