See Initially with Windows XP .Net framework was not shipped, now a days all MS O/S are coming with .Net Framework installed but the actual version & service packs may differ. suppose You are developing for .Net framework 4.0 and the operating system is having .net framework 3.5 then also you have to include the .Net framework 4.0.

You can have as many column as you want with the same data field.
I Think the question is how to disable auto generation of Data Column when binded to a data source (Which is by Default True for GridView) - i.e AutoGenerateColumn =false

You must change the condition in the subquery
(select count(FavoriteID) from Favorites where TopicID=@TopicID )
From TopicID=@TopicID to Favorites.TopicID= Topics.TopicID , To get correct reqult , because the previous concition (where TopicID=@TopicID) will give same value for all the topics. so instead use Favorites.TopicID= Topics.TopicID
