Kunal_Chowdhury - 17 May '11 - 1:10 View
Don't confuse devs by using "int? ?? -1" instead use some parentheses. Your code will look more cleaner.
Kunal_Chowdhury - 11 May '11 - 1:05 View
Woh, you found my post? :D Thanks BTW.

Reason for my vote of 5 Good but it is always advisable to use CSS instead of inline styles for future maintenance.

Don't worry about it. I replied something for you here: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/3725640/Re-Why-everything-is-down-voted-here-Please-analyz.aspx

But why did you delete your answer? It is correct man.
Kunal_Chowdhury - 8 Jan '11 - 2:03 View
It's really a good answer Hiren, but don't know why people downvoted your post. +5ed to counter it. Not only to counter, but it is really a good answer.
Kunal_Chowdhury - 7 Jan '11 - 10:17 View
It's not always helpful. Atleast, when you have an object of properties and you are already using one converter to do some basic operation. But anyway, that's a good suggestion. Silverlight 5 is coming and at that time, we will not have any issue.
Kunal_Chowdhury - 3 Dec '10 - 5:56 View
Better solution will be using the JavaScript. I don't think comment will be a best option here as any developer can come and remove those entries and it will fail in that case. I will not recommend comment for doing any specific operation. Try a innerHtml from JavaScript.

You have to specify the full namespace of your client. So, first check what is the namespace for your client class. Check using the object browser.

TextBox doesn't have TextDecorations property. He is asking for underlining the string inside the TextBox. Don't know how this solved his problem... ;)
KunalChowdhury - 9 Sep '10 - 8:07 View
Why did you ask the question multiple times? One time is fine to get answered. Removing the 2nd line.

KunalChowdhury - 20 Aug '10 - 10:25 View

KunalChowdhury - 20 Aug '10 - 8:05 View
Hi Hiren, Can you format it properly? Else, it will not be publish for public view.
KunalChowdhury - 19 Aug '10 - 4:28 View
Reason for my vote of 4 Nice to see all the shortcuts in a single page. It will be great if you publish them in a Table format. In that case, it will be more visible to your readers. It's definitely a 5 vote Tips&Tricks. Please format it as per my suggestion & let me know. I will check it for any feedback once you are done.

Minor Edit for spelling mistake.
KunalChowdhury - 16 Aug '10 - 1:42 View
This is not at all an answer. You can put it as a Comment. BTW, Who cares of spelling mistake to answer to a query? If you know, it's a spelling mistake "display" / "diplay" and you know the answer, why you are asking him to rephrase his query first?
KunalChowdhury - 16 Aug '10 - 1:36 View
Reason for Edit: Proper code formatting & remove grammatical errors.
KunalChowdhury - 15 Aug '10 - 11:38 View
We can't get what are the issues you are facing. Please give some more description so that someone can guide you to resolve your query.
KunalChowdhury - 15 Aug '10 - 11:36 View
ReSharper is the best that I have ever used. It gives more tips on writing code. But the latest version takes a bit more memory. If you have good amount of RAM then you can go for Resharper though it's Paid Version.
KunalChowdhury - 15 Aug '10 - 11:29 View
Modified for proper code readability.
KunalChowdhury - 15 Aug '10 - 11:22 View
The subject line "about my project" will not give more idea & thus people may escape reading this. Use better sentence to rephrase your question. e.g. HOW TO CALCULATE DATA IN DATAFIELD USING ADODB? sounds good.
KunalChowdhury - 15 Aug '10 - 11:19 View
Reason for Edit: Properly format the code

Reason for my vote of 1 If the runtime is giving the easiest method for you, then why to write the same implementation?
KunalChowdhury - 12 Aug '10 - 5:17 View
Can you explain something about each steps and what the commands are for?
KunalChowdhury - 10 Aug '10 - 4:55 View
Hello Ravi, where is your QuarterOfDate() method? I think, it was helpful though it required some tuning in the code.
KunalChowdhury - 8 Aug '10 - 13:25 View
Reason for my vote of 1 Not a proper way to get the color from a string name. I will try to post an alternative solution for it.
KunalChowdhury - 22 Jul '10 - 14:19 View
Reason for my vote of 5 This has more clear answer.
KunalChowdhury - 22 Jul '10 - 14:15 View
Don't put email id anywhere to avoid spam.
KunalChowdhury - 21 Jul '10 - 14:07 View
Good one but it will fail if JavaScript is turned off.
KunalChowdhury - 21 Jul '10 - 12:53 View
Ravi, I think Luc here is right. The QuarterOfDate() should return 1,2,3,4 and not 4,1,2,3. Reason behind this is: we need to check the DateTime for English year only [MAX time and MAX of your readers should need it] and for that Jan, Feb, Mar should return 1 whereas Apr should return you 2. Please improve your Tip/Trick with proper code. All the best. And yes, there is nothing called "Negative Voting". We always want to share our knowledge here and also want to help others by suggesting them in various ways and Luc did the same thing. Please don't take it in negative way and keep sharing your knowledge here. We want to see more of your tips/articles here. Keep up the good work.

Any Version John? How can you develop Silverlight 4 applications in VS2008, if the IDE itself is not supporting that? :)
KunalChowdhury - 18 Jul '10 - 13:43 View
Can you clarify your problem?
KunalChowdhury - 18 Jul '10 - 5:17 View
Reason for my vote of 5 Thanks for sharing the Code. Silverlight beginners will be very helpful.
KunalChowdhury - 17 Jul '10 - 10:04 View
Super... :) But you can include one method which will return you the Quarter of the Year for a given date.
KunalChowdhury - 17 Jul '10 - 10:03 View
Reason for my vote of 5 Awesome one. I liked it.
KunalChowdhury - 15 Jul '10 - 13:35 View
Reason for my vote of 5 Nice Tips&Tricks shared here and hope it will be useful for all the developers in ASP.Net development. Have my 5. Keep it up.
KunalChowdhury - 14 Jul '10 - 7:32 View
Reason for my vote of 1 It is better to call a Static method whenever require, instead of creating an instance of FileInfo.
KunalChowdhury - 13 Jul '10 - 4:44 View
Reason for my vote of 1 I don't think it as a good solution for trimming text in HTML. Reason behind this is: if you open that in FireFox, the ellipsis are not visible. Only the text is cropping. In case of IE, the ellipsis coming fine but when you select the text, the ellipsis hiding behind the actual text. I am using IE8 and FF3. Have a try...
KunalChowdhury - 10 Jul '10 - 14:27 View
Reason for my vote of 1 It's not a Tips & Tricks
KunalChowdhury - 7 Jul '10 - 10:51 View
Reason for my vote of 1 It is not a Question but some comments. Please elaborate your problem, so that, we can understand it and reply back to you with the possible solution. We don't know telepathy to understand your problem. Please consider it to give us some points. Then we can help you.
KunalChowdhury - 7 Jul '10 - 9:04 View
Reason for my vote of 5 This is only the MaskEdit control which will solve the problem asked by Pawan.
KunalChowdhury - 22 May '10 - 7:03 View
Very funny!!! No punctuation at all... Difficult to understand.
KunalChowdhury - 22 May '10 - 6:55 View
