Thanks for the response, It didnt work I hard to change       @model <Testing.Models.ModelSearch1
to 
      @model Ienumerable<Testing.Models.ModelSearch>
but the issue i am having is ... The data will have to be posted back to the controller and i am not able to get  asp-for ='item.Id.  or is there any way i can embed  
<input type="hidden" asp-for="modelSearch[item].Id" value="@Model.ModelSearch[item].Id"/> into the views table?

Thanks for the response and your time, The ViewResult gets the list of all records instead of a single data.. Initially my view result was but public List <studentdata>? StudentData { get; set; }

yea it is correct, the issue here is when i change the password, the lastpassword change date of that username will change to the that date,but the password won't change... i have tried using changepassword question of thesame username, it works perfectly well.. could it be that i am missing something?

it built but this error is poping up,
The GridView 'GridView2' fired event PageIndexChanging which wasn't handled.

do i need to do anything on the gridview, all i did on the gridview was to enable paging to be true

The applications are not always online, but the windows application can come online to download the data in the remote computer and go offline to work on the datas..

Thanks, but the querry you gave is to search the reservation to check if there is reservation i guess

i don't have any data in the reservations table, but do have data on rooms table,
How do i search the rooms table and compare it with the reservations table to befor populating the result like
