Indexing in MS SQL Server 2005

I have a Table where i get data from a GPRS Modem after 10 second for a single table and there are more then 800 tables where same functionality is perform Can I use Custom Indexing as DB size is more than 200gb?
if any Alternative way then please guide me.

What is your problem exactly, and what do you mean by custom indexing?

if you are firing select queries then you should .
But structure of database is also a factor to be considered to answer this question

The insertion is more then selection but both are perform as i read an article where he writes that custom indexes also occupy the memory and also slow the performance of DB server in such type of condition so the issue is both i.e. selection is Less then Insertion but when view the report selection is required but insertion is continuous.
